Former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile has used the tired ‘Photoshop’ line in defending pictures of himself that has been circulating on social media.
The photos show him looking drunk and sleeping next to an unidentified woman.
Speaking to Nation, Kalembe said that he does not know the woman in the photo, and called the image ‘Photoshop’. He said that a malicious person had edited his face onto a different body to make him look bad.
“These are people who just want to malign my name and image in the society,” said Kalembe.
This is not the first time a politician has pleaded ‘Photoshop’ when compromising photos leaked. Most exploit the public ignorance on the subject.
In this case for the Photoshop argument to hold, there should exist that exact picture of Kalembe’s face, for it to be fixed onto a different body.
Otherwise, I’m not sure the inventor of Photoshop himself would come up with something so convincing.
