That Yemi Alade is a fan favourite in Kenya is nothing new! That she is immensely talented is also nothing new!
Despite all we have come to love and know about the Nigerian songstress, she always springs up a surprise that makes us fall deeper in love with her. She did exactly that during the recording of Coke Studio Africa when she covered probably Kenya’s biggest song of the year – Nyashinski’s deep and soulful ‘Mungu Pekee’ (God Alone).
Yemi brings her distinctive flavour on Nyashinski’s track and once again shows her mastery of Swahili that would put some Kenyans to shame.
