Octopizzo’s trips to Kakuma and Daadab Refugee Camps have started to bore fruit musically.
The ‘Utanishow’ rapper is well known for his humanitarian work through the Octopizzo Foundation and UNHCR Kenya.
Octopizzo’s mentorship on the refugee musicians started a couple of years ago as part of the ArtistsForRefugees livelihood project. They are all set to drop an album this December.
The album titled ‘Refugeenius’ will be released on 3rd December 2016 at Prestige Plaza from 10am (Entry Free).
The first song off the album was released on Tuesday. It’s titled, ‘Flalala’ and sees rappers Mau Mau from Somali and Be Happy J from South Sudan come together to show what they are capable of.
You may not understand a thing but these guys are dope. This also marks a major coup for rapper Octopizzo.
