Despite being one of China’s top mobile phone manufacturers, Gionee is only just now making an entry into the Kenyan market. The brand is well recognized in Europe and is among the top 10 most popular phones in many European countries.
They may be late to the party in Kenya, but they are determined to compensate for that.
The M6 Lite will retail at Sh13,999 this week only and then revert back to it’s normal retail price of Sh19,999.
Speaking during the launch on Friday, Kilimall Managing Director Robin Xie said Gionee M6 Lite has been released for the Kenyan market and will be available on Kilimall from November 24, just a day before Black Friday.

This phone comes with a generous internal storage memory of 32Gb.

Here’s a HDR test between the Gionee M6 Lite and a Tecno Camon C8 (dubbed a camera phone).
The Gionee M6 Lite comes with a big 4,000mAh battery. This should be more than adequate for a whole day of use, for a heavy user. Light users might not need to recharge for up to 2 days.
It also comes with fast charging innovations, and according to the company, 30 minutes of charge will give you a whole day’s use.
Further, the battery is removable, something users love but manufacturers have been moving away from. This can come in handy eg. when if falls in water and you’re trying to save it.
Screen and Display
The screen is strengthened giving it more resistant to scratches and breakages.
The display is a full HD Amoled, similar to what is found in many top of the range phones.
On Thursday and Friday (November 24th and 25th), Kilimall will bring the price of the Gionee M6 Lite down from Sh19,999 to Sh13,999.
