American global fast food chain Burger King has opened its first outlet in Kenya.
Burger King, which is the world’s second largest burger chain with over 15,000 outlets opened their first in Kenya at The Hub, Karen last week.
It joins their other African outlets located in South Africa, Egypt, Morocco and Ivory Coast. The Kenyan restaurant is under a franchise agreement with NAS Airport Services Limited, owned by airline catering and logistics company Servair.
Burger King joins other global fast food chains that have opened outlets in Kenya in recent months. Among them are KFC, Subway, Domino’s and Teriyaki Japan.
To mark their opening in Nairobi, staff at the outlet did the ‘Mannequin Challenge’.
