Pauline Shamola, the Safaricom customer care attendant from Nakuru who warmed Kenyans’ hearts last week when a picture of her helping a disabled customer went viral, has finally met her boss.
In the photo, Pauline is seen kneeling down to help 52-year-old William Kisumo who had gone to the shop to make a purchase.
Last week, the National Council for Persons with Disabilities paid her a visit to appreciate her effort. They rewarded her with a cake and gifts that moved her to tears.
On Saturday, Pauline traveled to Nairobi to finally meet Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
It is unclear what reward if any she received from her employer, but it’s unlikely she walked out empty handed.
