Tabitha Wachuka was a 20 year old college student with a bright future. On Thursday last week, her lifeless body was discovered inside a septic tank in Juja. She had been missing for 5 days.

The circumstances that led to her death are unclear, but it is thought that she was either murdered or slipped into the tank.

According to reports, police disrupted a party she was at over the weekend, which led to those in attendance dispersing. When the friends re-grouped some time later at around 12 midnight, they realized she was missing.

Over the course of the week, several announcements were made on social media and on radio seeking for information on her whereabouts.

On Wednesday, her uncle Elijah Mwangi wrote this on Facebook, ”The lady on my wall is my niece Tabitha Wamiru Wachuka and she’s missing from Sunday in Nairobi where she was working,we’ve searched for her everywhere including morgues hospitals, police everywhere, please help me find her and the Lord will bless you…We’ve made announcements in local radio stations,,,,Help us find her,,,maybe you can share or post her post on your wall”

Just a day later, he used the same medium to announce her death.
”I’m sad to announce to u that this gal who went missing from sun and I posted on my wall requesting your assistance to find her,has just been found dead in a septic tank…may she RIP,” he wrote.

Friends have flooded Tabitha’s Facebook page to send their condolence messages.

She will be laid to rest this coming Thursday in Nanyuki. Friends and family are meeting at Emmacra Hotel along Accra road everyday from 6pm.

Tabbs would have turned 21 this Saturday.
