Much-loved Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has added another accolade to her already brimming bag of achievements.
Weeks after she took Vogue magazine to her rural home in Kisumu, the award winning actress has been featured on the cover of Elle‘s Women in Hollywood issue.
She has been featured alongside top Holywood actresses, Amy Adams, Helen Mirren, Kathy Bates, Kristen Stewart,Felicity Jones, Aja Naomi King, and Anna Kendrick for the November 2016 issue.
Lupita, honored by the feature, wrote on social media, “My first ElleUSA cover!! Honored to be included in this group of cool, smart and fierce women for the#ELLEWIH issue.”

Lupita on her success despite being told her skin was “too dark for African television”: “I grew up with a very limited mirror of myself. I watched a lot of TV, but the people on it were always light skinned. And now I have a platform that takes me into people’s houses and onto the pages of their magazines.”
The feature comes months after she covered the January issue of Elle U.K.
