Ford Kenya officials in Bungoma County on Monday joined the Jubilee Party.

Led by former Lwandanyi Councillor Robert Wanyera, the twenty defectors from Sirisia Constituency said they had seen the light.

“We have seen nothing in the Opposition. We have suffered long enough. It was time to make a bold move to join Jubilee Party, which has a future for us,” said Wanyera.

“Our national chairman, Senator John Munyes, moved to Jubilee Party. We are following his footsteps and more defectors are coming. We have suffered enough in the cold.”

The officials were received by Governor Ken Lusaka in Webuye.

“Let us be in the government where the late Wamalwa Kijana left us. You can’t succeed in opposition,” said Lusaka.
