Later this month, one of Jamaica’s most talented singers, Romain Virgo, will be performing in Kenya for the very first time.
The reggae, dancehall and lovers rock singer is scheduled for a show on September 24th at the KICC.
Ahead of the show, the ‘Rich In Love’ hitmaker has expressed excitement about his maiden trip saying: “We cannot wait, we are excited and it is killing us. Would love to get into a flight right now and come to Kenya and perform for the people.”
In a video interview, Romain says that coming to Kenya is a “dream” come true and a blessing.
“We are coming to Kenya with a team, a band. This is the first time, which is a big deal for us. We will make sure, we make this trip a memorable one,” Romain said, “It is my dream to come to Africa. This is the right time.”
“It is a blessing. In reality, it is my home. I always dream of coming to the mother land and get a feel of how it feels to be home.”
The artist will be in Kenya for 6 days after his Zimbabwe concert. He jets in September 19.
Kenya singer Viviane has been announced as one of the acts who will join Romain on stage.
Advance tickets go for Ksh 1000, at the gate Kshs 1500. VIP advance tickets go for Kshs 3000 and at the gate Kshs 3500.
