It’s less than two months since footballer McDonald Mariga’s home was broken into, and unforgiving thugs have struck again.
Unconfirmed reports from Italy- where the Kenyan midfielder plies his trade, have it that there was a break in at his house last Saturday night.
Italian site, latinaoggi.eu reports that Mariga who plays for Italy’s second tier team FC Latina, returned home from his team’s 4-1 defeat to Verona on Saturday night, only to find burglars had made away with valuables.
The burglars reportedly invaded Mariga’s home located along Q4 district via an adjoining condominium balcony, and ransacked each room before taking off with electronics and clothes of unknown value, including a 42 and 55 inch television sets and a play station.
This comes months after his Lavington apartment in Nairobi was robbed. Burglars reportedly made away with goods worth Ksh 2 Million, including a television set worth Ksh 500,000.
Mariga’s brother, Victor Wanyama is also no stranger to break ins. In 2014, thieves broke into the then Southampton star’s house and swept it clean, making away with cookers, washing machines, computers, a music system, microwaves, clothes and his Range Rover SUV, worth Sh8 million.
