Dancehall and lovers rock maverick Romain Virgo was in the country on Thursday for a brief stop over.
The ‘Rich in Love’ singer and The Unit Band made the brief stopover on their way to Harare, Zimbabwe, where the first show of their Soul Provider African Tour will go down on September 17th.
They will return to Nairobi to perform at the KICC on September 24th, and for a meet and greet at the Space Lounge.
While here, the singer met one of his biggest fans- Nairobi governor Evans Kidero.
The governor described Romain as a gifted artist. He also revealed his favorite song by the singer- 2012 hit ‘Everlasting Love’ from the Tropical Escape Riddim.
“Everlasting love” by Romain Virgo still remains one of my favorite songs by this gifted artist. It was great meeting with him today.. it is amazing when a young artist uses music to continue empowering the youth. At the NCCG we are committed to ensuring we empower the youth as they are the future of this country… Karibu Kenya. Karibu Nairobi City,” said Kidero.
