It appears it pays when you have friends in high places.
Hit-maker Jaguar was one of the main acts during the Jubilee Party launch over the weekend, and his 4 minute performance saw him pocket a handsome figure.
Word on the street has it that the ‘Kigeugeu’ singer pocketed Sh 1 Million, Nairobi News reports.
The figure has reportedly been revealed by Jaguar’s handlers.
Jaguar, who is said to be President Uhuru’s personal friend earned Sh 700,000 more than other musicians who performed at the launch.
Other musicians who performed at the event included gospel artistes Bahati, Mercy Masika and Size 8, who earned Sh 300,000 each.
According to Nairobi News, Jaguar left immediately after his performance to aid the affected families of a Kisii slum where an inferno destroyed houses and property.
He is said to have used his performance fee to aid the victims of the slum fire in Kisii.
