Unlike a certain character vying for the presidency in the US, our president is not one to hold grudges.

Uhuru yesterday hosted a delegation of Members of County Assembly from Kisii and Nyamira Counties at State House Nairobi. One of those present was Kiogoro MCA Samuel Onkwani.

Back in 2013, the MCA urged those close to the President to advise him to “stop smoking bhang”.

Onkwani, was charged with undermining the authority of a public officer contrary to Section 132 of the Penal Code. He denied the charge before principal magistrate Kibet Sambu and was released on a cash bail of Sh20,000.

Uhuru chatted briefly with Mr. Onkwani, and even gave him a friendly hug as a sign of forgiveness.

The President met the leaders ahead of his planned visit to the region.
