A record breaking 450,000 condoms will be supplied to the 10,500 athletes at this year’s Olympic games, making it the most promiscuous Olympics in history.
With the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio summer games just around the corner, participating Kenyan athletes will each get 42 condoms.
And for the first time in the history of the Olympic games, women condoms will be provided.
The International Olympics Committee will provide 350,000 condoms, 100,000 female condoms and 175,000 packets of lubricant.
The number is three times higher than the London 2012 allowance of 150,000 condoms. As a result, this year’s Olympics has been dubbed as the ‘raunchiest games ever.’
The Zika virus, which has spread across Brazil and sparked Olympic discussions, is not being given as a reason though some European countries participating in the event have taken extra precaution.
