In a bid to spread the gospel and continue with it’s commendable youth outreach movement, Kubamba crew has launched a new gospel radio station.
The new station, Kubamba Radio started playing gospel music since April and was officially launched on Friday.
It will be airing urban Christian music to target the youth.
Speaking to Nairobi News, Bob Wafula, the Programmes Controller, said the new radio station will seek to attract its youthful target audience by playing hip hop, rap gospel compared to other gospel radio stations who tend to air gospel music from other genres.
“Kubamba radio is bringing in something different and it will be strictly urban gospel. The frequency which is 91.6, is only available in Nairobi and its environs but plans are underway to reach other parts of the country,” said Mr Wafula.
Kubamba was started in 2000 by Moses K Mathenge, popularly known as DJ Moz as a radio show on a christian station.
