cowA very bizarre incident happened on Saturday night at the rural home of Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau.

Unknown assailants raided the home and killed most of the legislator’s cows. The MPs wife had just left the house at the time of the attack.

According to Kigumo Deputy OCPD Nathan Lukale, preliminary investigations showed that the cows were poisoned before their ears and legs were slashed. A veterinary officer has been called in to assist with investigations.

The MP called for calm asking people not to speculate. He however wondered what the motive was. “What message did they want to pass” Mr Kamau posed. Empty bottles of pesticide suspected to have been used to poison the cows.

A manager and guard earlier reported missing, surfaced and presented themselves to the police for questioning.
