Like him or not, Octopizzo is without a doubt a cut above the rest in the Kenyan rap industry. Not only does he push out some good quality music including videos, the rapper from Kibera slums is doing great humanitarian work through his ‘Octopizzo Foundation.’
He has served as a Youth Ambassador for Film Aid International, the British Council and is currently supporting UNHCR Kenya with a dynamic youth project dubbed “Artistes for Refugees”.
Last week, he flew out to Geneva, Switzerland where he has been part of this Year’s Global Refugee Youth Consultation.
Infact, he was the moderator during the Bureau Of Africa Panel Discussion on the challenges youth face in Africa.
Because all work without play makes Octo a dull boy, the rapper got to drop a few bars at the US Mission Embassy. He performed ‘I’m Black,’ to cap off what was a successful mission as our youth ambassador.
