A teaching assistant has revealed his grandmother’s endearing Google search after he came across it while using her laptop.

Ben John, 25, was left in hysterics when he discovered what 85-year-old May Ashworth had typed and took to Twitter to share it with his followers.

In his tweet he wrote: ‘Omg opened my Nan’s laptop and when she’s googled something she’s put ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. I can’t’ – along with the cry laughing emojis.

Ben accompanied his tweet with a screen shot of his grandmother’s Google search which read: ‘Please translate these roman numerals mcmxcviii thank you.’

Since sharing his nan’s endearing Internet search last week, the post has received more than 5,000 retweets and 8,000 shares.

Many Twitter users were overcome by his grandmother’s politeness, leaving messages of support in praise of May.
