jadudi1Months after he underwent a successful brain surgery to remove a cancerous growth in his brain, cancer warrior Emmanuel Otieno popularly known as Jadudi, has been diagnosed with another brain tumour.
Africa Cancer Foundation Chief Executive Officer Zawadi Nyong’o, broke the sad news on twitter after speaking to Jadudi who had gone back to India for his first medical review since his surgery in August 2015.
Nyong’o added that Jadudi was undergoing several tests, including the electroencephalogram (EEG), which is used to detect abnormalities related to the electrical activity of the brain.
In August last year, thousands of Kenyans came together in a social media campaign dubbed #1MiliForJadudi in which Sh6 Million was raised in 28 hours, surpassing the target of Sh1 Million. The money enabled Jadudi, who had Grade III Ependymoma to fly to Chennai, India where he underwent a four-hour brain surgery at Apollo Hospital.
In a blog post titled, JADUDI, ANOTHER BRAIN TUMOR!, Zawadi Nyong’o reveals how she received the bad news on Whatsapp.
She writes,

Several people sent messages of support and we were all optimistic. Jadudi was supposed to be gone for two weeks, but he said he was not really looking forward to the trip, and hoped he would be done and back home within a week. Then three days ago, as I was preparing to go for Kenya’s historical Ivory burn, I received these messages from him:
