A video showing a lioness being swept away by floods has gone viral. According to unconfirmed reports, the incident happened at the Nairobi National Park.
In the video, the lioness is seen approaching a river in a bid to cross over to the other side, when it suddenly stops at the banks as if to assess the speed of the flowing water.
After a while, she finally gets into the water and cautiously tries to navigate across. Midway through her treacherous journey, she is overwhelmed by the raging water and is swept into a mini-waterfall in the thicket.
The video does not show what happened after, but hopefully the cat was able to make it out safely as the flow does not look that rapid.
