NTV news anchor Larry Madowo has revealed the grade he scored in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
The popular journalist revealed that he flunked so badly that some of his relatives demanded that he repeat Form Four.
“I failed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams. I flunked so badly, that some of my relatives were sufficiently scandalised to demand that I repeat Form Four and apply myself better.” He wrote in his FrontRow column on the Daily Nation.
In the article titled ‘So you got an A in KCSE? Big deal! It has lost meaning today’, Madowo opined how the most coveted top grade had become meaningless following the widespread cheating in the national examinations.
As for his results in KCSE, Larry scored a B minus.
“I left high school with a B minus, the final sentence after four years of massive potential but hardly any focus. I was dead set against repeating, so I had to make the best of it and I would like to think I did,” He wrote.
