KCSEBeing one of the most popular ‘teachers’ in the country, comedienne Teacher Wanjiku was among the many Kenyans eagerly anticipating the release of KCSE results yesterday.
The teacher took to Facebook to remind her fans what it was like to receive one’s results back in the day.
“Siku Kama ya Leo ulikuwa unabuy ruler unaenda nayo Kwa notice board. Unamake sure ni straight ndio usisome results za Msee mwingine kimakosa. Ukijipata Na D yako rasmi. Hivo ndio ulianza life pekee yako juu inabidi haurudi home. But watu walikuwa wanachukiwa ni wale wasee wa A Na B kina sisi sasa. Baada ya kujua umepass .Inabidi umekaa hapo siku mzima Alafu mtu akikuja unamshow akuangalilie yako juu Wewe unaogopa.”
The results were ofcourse the top trending topic on twitter as social media users reacted to some of the shocking reports. Speaking during the release of the results on Thursday morning, education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i revealed that about 366,000 candidates who took the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations did not attain the minimum university entry grade of C+ and above.
The CS also pointed out that more than 5,000 candidates will not get their results as a result of cheating.
