Ruben Katana, a KADU Asili candidate, made the humble entry at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices atop the donkey-drawn carriage accompanied by his cheering supporters.
Katana, a former Kenyatta University student leader, noted he would offer residents an alternative form of leadership despite him having weaker financial muscles compared to other contestants.
“Even if I don’t have money like my competitors I will continue to sell my policies,” He said.
Katana will run against ODM’s William Mtengo and Jubilee’s Philip Charo among others in a race that is largely seen a political battle between the main coalitions – CORD and Jubilee.
