The pastor, who operates in Ena and Nembure shopping centres, was said to have parked his vehicle at a corner near Makuti restaurant where he remained locked up with the woman, Nairobi News reports.
According to eyewitness reports, the woman’s husband had trailed the two after spotting them near his place of work. He kept monitoring the parked vehicle from a distance hoping they would alight, but they didn’t.
The 50 year old businessman then went closer to the car and allegedly found the two in a compromising position. He is said to have raised an alarm attracting members of the public from the nearby matatu terminus and boda boda operators, who responded by pelting the car with stones.
It took police efforts, led by Embu West police boss Francis Sang’ to rescue the preacher.
Sadly, Kevin Macharia Gichovi, 16, was seriously injured in the melee after being hit in the head with stones. He later died at Tenri Children’s hospital.
Embu West OCPD Francis Sang said he died of excessive bleeding.
