Basically, Whisper lets users anonymously share things they would not normally tell anyone. This can be anything from your deepest secrets to your darkest desires.
The Kenyan version is not an app but rather a website – Mysecret.co.ke. However the mechanics are the same.
Browsing through the content, the site has actually been around for several months but only started to show some chatter on social media.
As you would expect with the privilege of posting anonymously, the secrets are bizarre, gross, criminal and in some cases funny.
One girl in November let everyone know she was behind the discomfort of passengers at a certain Umoinner bus.
Some of the stuff going on here is straight from Maina and King’ang’i’s script.
This 20 year old virgin must have been happy to learn there was a 25 year old in similar boots.
Some is even criminal.
And some really weird.
And more Maina and King’ang’i stuff.
We tried to find out who is behind this site, but you guessed right… it’s a secret too.
Mysecret.co.ke is a new concept in Kenya, and probably with this post – its first media mention, we may start seeing some more bizarre stuff. Maybe even scary, like these ones from Whisper.
Some more secrets from Mysecret Kenya. Some are even gross.
