Once-great Kenyan hitmaker, Vinnie Banton has come out to refute rumours that he has quit his music career. This comes days after he landed a lucrative deal as the Head of Entertainment at a new state-of-the-art club in Karen.
The singer who rose to prominence with the mega hit Githurai featuring Mr. Googz and Mr. Lenny, denied claims that he has been unable to revive the stalled career as he takes on the new job at Club 10 at Park Place Hotel, off Magadi Road.
“I’ve been hearing some cheap talk making rounds that I have given up on my career as a singer. The truth is, I have never or tried to quit on my singing carreer. It’s only that I took a break to concentrate on my other sources of income, that is management and deejaying. I am also about to release my new 10-track album next year, and a new song with Mr. Googz,” he said.
Vinnie expounded further on his other sources of income saying, “I have already established a record label called Banton Music with studios in Embakasi, a DJ Academy, based at Yaya Centre and in Embakasi too. ”
