chachaFormer NTV senior reporter Richard Chacha has found his silver lining at the County government of Mombasa.

The renown journalist was reportedly declared redundant by his then employer, Nation Media Group, forcing his exit from the media stable. The political reporter was involved in an accident that left him paralysed from the waist downwards. The accident happened in 2012 when a team of Nation Media Group journalists were on their way back to Nairobi from Narok after a fundraiser.

Richard Chacha has now been appointed as the Director of Communications and Public Relations of Mombasa County.

His appointment was announced on Tuesday by Mombasa County governor Ali Hassan Joho.

“I have appointed Mr. Richard Chacha as the Director of Communications and Public Relations of Mombasa County.
