There’s still a big debate happening on social media as to whether its right for Kenyans to change their profile pictures in order ‘To Stand with France’, yet the same has never been done for Kenya.
We can all admit that the global outrage after Westgate or Garissa attacks is no where near Paris weekend shootings, or even the smaller Charlie Hebdo early this year. In fact, many people in America and the west were hearing about Garissa for the first time on Saturday when people started asking why they never stood with Kenya.
But for the record, there was a small section of people in several countries that heard the news and stood with us in April. As a matter of fact, Paris held a small ceremony.
