Former Arsenal and France legendary midfielder Robert Pires has confirmed that he will visit Kenya in December courtesy of Barclays. Pires is expected in the country between the 4th and 6th of December in place of former Arsenal Captain Tony Adams who was scheduled to visit Kenya but took ill at the beginning of the month.
During his visit, Pires will be joining 100 lucky Barclays’ customers, winners in the in the ‘Switch to Better’ promotion, for an exclusive Barclays Premier League(BPL) Fanzone viewing experience. He will also spend time with four lucky winners and their families and kit them out in the original regalia of their favourite EPL team.

Pires’ maiden appearance in 2001 gave the Gunners another arsenal they could believe in. Pires’ six year career at Arsenal scored him two FA Cup titles and two Barclays Premier League Titles in 2001/2002 and 20013/2004 seasons. He made 284 appearances, putting 84 goals in the back of the net.
His tactical footwork and exquisite scoring made him one of the most revered Arsenal players of his time, alongside, Ashley Cole and Thierry Henry who together were nicknamed “The Invincibles”. Pires moved to Villarreal after Arsenal and retired in 2011 after briefly playing with Aston Villa. Despite being 42, Pires still played with FC Goa in India in the 2014/2015 season.
