Not that we were expecting an expensive Brioni suit, but for a fundraiser to raise money for the Pope’s visit to Uganda, perhaps military attire was not the best clothing for President Museveni to wear.

The Ugandan leader is fond of these clothings, himself being a military man.

Yesterday, he helped the Catholic Church raise around KSh 40 million, which will go towards reconstruction of Namugongo and Munyonyo shrines ahead of the Papal visit later this year.

Earlier in the day, Museveni had attended a military pass out parade, and perhaps that can explain the army uniform. However, a suit would have been ideal for both events.
