Evans Kidero uproots grass after Obama visit

Evans Kidero’s grass that raised lots of reactions from locals during Obama’s homecoming, was uprooted three days after his departure. What many thought was part of a beautification program by the Nairobi County Governor turned out that it was shoddily planted just for show.

Some of the Governor’s workers were filmed while they were busy uprooting the grass and flowers from the beds they had been planted.  However, commenting on the incidence through social media, Kidero explained, ‘Please take note that NO ONE is uprooting ‪#‎KideroGrass‬. The appointed contractor is restoring the ground in order to do proper planting. #KideroGrass is well on course, the quality of grass selected takes time to grow!’

Below is a video clip of Kidero workers uprooting the grass.
