British professional road race cyclist Chris Froome still has some fond memories of his time in Kenya.

The 2013 Tour de France winner, who is currently dominating the 2015 Tour de France, was born and brought up in Kenya until the age of 13 when he moved to South Africa, where he turned professional.

He actually represented Kenya at the 2006 Road World Championships in the under 23 category. The Banda School educated lad started carrying the union flag in 2010, joining British Cycling Team, Team Sky.

On Tuesday, in the most unlikliest part of France, Froome spotted a random guy wearing a Tusker t-shirt. You can imagine the sense of familiarity he experienced, and he could not wait to share the picture on Twitter.

“Bonus points to the guy in the Tusker shirt! You can take the man out of Africa… “ He wrote.

There was more Kenyan love waiting for Chris.
