Veteran actor Benson Wanjau, better known as Mzee Ojwang is dead at 78.
The former Vitimbi actor died on Sunday evening at Kenyatta National Hospital after sudden illness. He was taken to the hospital earlier in the day, and after examination, it was determined that he had pneumonia and would have to be admitted.
He passed on at around 8 pm.
Fellow actor Mama Kayai said that his ‘eye condition’ had improved, and that he was doing very well. She recounted bumping into him in town a few days ago.
Kenyans on social media have been sending their condolence messages, and below we have some of them.
