bienThe past couple days, Kenyan celebrities and fans of boy band Sauti Sol have led an online onslaught over a Daily nation writer who painted the band’s recent loss at MTV awards in bad light. We covered that story on Wednesday and you can catch all the details about that saga here incase you missed it.

The article also caught the attention of the ‘Sura Yako’ hitmakers and in particular lead singer Bien Aime. The towering singer has responded to the article maintaining that they are the best owing to the fact that they are the only Kenyan artists representing Kenya on the global platform.

He wrote on social media:

This writer is crazy!!!!!! I’m going to risk sounding arrogant or just be arrogant and say we are the only Kenyan artists representing Kenya on a global level.WE ARE THE BEST!!!!! Our numbers say it all. Look across our social media and youtube. We have broken records that have given you things to celebrate but this is what you write. Don’t be stupid.@Sautisol has inspired an entire generation of artists who have raised the quality of music in this country. You probably won’t see another @Sautisol in this generation. So get on the winning bus and stop talking shit!!!!! MY FANS… ALUTA CONTINUA…… I LOVE YOU ALL.”
