President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Kakamega yesterday to issue the Sh1 billion bailout of Mumias Sugar Company.
All major Western leaders were in attendance, among them Boni Khalwale, Amos Wako, Oparanya, Wetangula, Mudavadi, Eugene Wamalwa and Ababu Namwamba.
For whatever reason, all front row leaders, with the exception of the President and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya decided to wear casual.
Amos Wako however overdid this casual thing, according to some guys on Facebook.
One Kubania Lameque wondered why Wako had worn a ‘gunia’. “kwani wako amevalia ngunia ka trouser? hehhe..” he wrote
Sandra Njoki added, “eh!? dress code ni muhimu jamaneni!!! kwanza Wako waaah!.”
Samuel Mutambuki was even more hard hitting: “seriously Wako…your wife lets you leave the house looking like this? Very ill fitting clothes.”
Nicholus Kibe however thought they all should have dressed better. “Wetangula, Khalwale and Wako should within 7 days show cause why they came in a President’s function dressed casually like this, failure to which the 1 Billion will be repossesed.”
I don’t have a lot to say about the trouser, but I can’t stop wondering. Why couldn’t they squeeze Oparanya’s chair towards the President a little, so Wako could fit in the dias? He literally had ‘nusu mkeka.’
