President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally made his maiden visit to Kisumu. Residents of the lake side city came out in droves to give the Head of State a kingly welcome.
Starting Tuesday, Uhuru will be in the county for a three day Devolution conference at Tom Mboya Labour College which ends on Friday. Hosted by the Council of Governors and the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, the meeting is said to have attracted 6,000 delegates from across the country.
The President launched the NYS Youth Empowerment and slum upgrading programme in Nyalenda which will employ 4,000 youth. He also visited the Huduma Centre in Kisumu on Tuesday.
