Ray C Supports Government Move to Ban Twerking in Tanzania

Popular dance move, twerking, is now illegal in Tanzania.
The Tanzanian government has banned the provocative dance move because it undermines their culture. To show how serious they are, police have been carrying out frequent crackdowns in clubs to arrest anyone caught in the act.
Popular Tanzanian songstress Ray C has thrown in her support in favor of the ban saying it is inappropriate.
“We must censor what we do otherwise we will be bringing up an immoral generation,” she said.
“Some of the things we do on TV are totally wrong, but since we are role models, the young people watching us at home think that it is okay since we endorse them. Showbiz must be responsible!” she said.
