As if the incompetence that is often associated with county governments is not enough, Kiambu county officials went a notch higher to expose their ignorance by hoisting the Kenyan flag upside down.
Last week Wednesday, members of the county assembly caused an uproar in the house over the disclosure that Kiambu does not have an official flag and other symbols. The members questioned the origin of the flag that is currently in use and has been used at official functions such as the governor’s address to the assembly.
And while that was happening, the Kenyan flag at the county government offices in Thika was flying upside down. Why should they even have a county flag if they cannot respect the national flag?
