Dan Ssrenkuma has bid farewell to the green army shortly after completing a big money move to Tanzania’s Simba FC.
The striker joined the Tanzanian football giants earlier this week after a sensational 3 year stint in Kenyan football.
“I have enjoyed two and a half years at Gor Mahia, but this is the right time to say goodbye. We have enjoyed some special moments and success together, and the fans have been very supportive towards me – especially during difficult times,” a statement read.
The dreadlocked striker played an integral part in helping the club win consecutive league titles in the past two seasons.
It is reported that Gor Mahia failed in a last gasp bid to retain the services of the enterprising striker.
Simba FC are said to have agreed a Sh 3 million sign on fee, alongside a monthly salary of Sh 250,000 with the player. At Gor Mahia he earned Sh 80,000.
