Our president is down to earth, you should know that by now. He is humble and will do things that you don’t expect a head of state to engage himself in. His sociable character is coming out in more ways than one.
Yesterday, in a bid to push for the cashless payment of bus fares, he, in the company of Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore and Transport CS Michael Kamau boarded a bus from State House to KICC.
The public service vehicle was sandwiched between his usual Land cruisers, and the scene was just amazing. Better still is the fact that he paid his own Sh30 fare, and also ‘shikiad’ Bob Collymore, Michael Kamau and private secretary Jomo Gecaga.
Don’t worry, he was careful enough not to sit next to a window; Not all of us have good intentions…. and if anyone asks, he had his seatbelt on.
Here are pics.
