The East African region is set to have a reality television game show focused on families.

The Mnet Show titled Beat The Challenge will have families from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The show will be hosted by TV personality Gaetano Kagwa and Tanzanian artiste Jokate Mwegelo.

The show will premier on Maisha Magic channel 161 on December 13. In Kenya, auditions will take place on November 22 at Supersport studios in Nairobi.

“The families contest in challenges that are physical in nature and each strives to outdo the other to emerge the ultimate winner of a family car. The families are picked from the three East African countries (Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania) and they battle it out to be the pride of their nation. The winning family will drive away with a brand new car alongside other cash prizes,” said M-Net East Africa regional director Michael Ndetei.

To be eligible you must be a permanent resident of any of the three countries and must be within a family set of four including both parents and two children aged between 12 and 17 years.
