Kenya has received support from unexpected quarters.

Renowned CNN journalist Anderson Cooper last week during the ‘Ridiculist’ segment on Anderson Cooper 360, hit out at Televangelist Pat Robertson who made the remark. Asked by a viewer if he thought it was safe for him to go on a mission to Kenya because of Ebola, Robertson suggested that the real danger in Kenya is not Ebola but Aids which may even be towels.

“Just to be clear, if, like Pat Robertson, you somehow missed all the evidence, all the research, the depth and breadth of all the knowledge garnered about HIV and AIDS over the past three decades, you cannot get HIV if you share towels.” Cooper said.

He also attacked Pat Robertson’s stand on Gay rights.

Cooper, himself gay, said that perhaps the only way Americans can be safe is by staying in America. “Except steer clear of San Francisco,” he added. “Because that’s of course where all the gay people live and Pat Robertson thinks they have an ingenious way of giving you ‘the stuff.”
