Several local artistes are threatening to call it quits with music platform, Mdundo.
Mdundo was founded in November 2012 and has over the past 2 years provided local artists a platform to distribute their music and earn revenues based on the number of downloads they receive.
The artiste are complaining of being underpaid, a breach of contract, exploitation of artistes among other grievances. According to Mdundo, artists are paid Ksh 4 per download.
Through Facebook, upcoming musician Qama, rallied artistes yesterday to join him in terminating their contracts with the music platform.
