A few weeks ago, the National Highway Authority installed some barbed wires at the Ngara section of the Thika Superhighway.
This is a very busy stretch with lots of hawkers, buyers and other pedestrians. Accidents have been common, with most of this as a result of jaywalking . This is despite the fact that an imposing footbridge is just a few metres away.
It turns out even after placing the barbed wires on top of the barriers, people are still going through. Some metal bars have been removed creating large spaces.
This guy was pictured well on his way. Behind him you can see the large spacing between the metal bars.
