The story of hacked KDF Twitter account is quickly changing to a comedy script. On Sunday night, hackers took over the page, posting messages insulting the army and the government.

For almost 20 hours, our defence forces and their spokesman Major Emmanuel Chirchir were unable to reclaim their accounts. When they finally did on Monday evening, they quickly deleted the tweets and moved on. Press releases were even sent to media houses.

Barely hours later, the same hackers, @Anon_0x03 struck again.

“Account hacked Again by @Anon_0x03 and Anonymous Kenya FUCK YOU ARMY!” they tweeted.

Two government websites; Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) – ifmis.go.ke and Immigration ministry’s mirp.go.ke were also defaced.

Lets hope measures will be put in place to avoid such embarrassment in future.
