moses wetLeader of Senate minority, Moses Wetangula, has recorded a statement with the police after he allegedly received death threats from Starehe MP Maina Kamanda.

In his statement recorded at Parliament Police Station on 17/June 2014 Tuesday at 4:50pm, Wetangula claims that the Starehe MP accosted him on Monday and told him to his face “Wewe na Raila mumeua watu wetu, we will kill both of you.”

When reached for comment by local newspaper, The Star, Maina Kamanda did not deny or confirm the alleged threat but said that “things are bad” and claimed that Cord was instigating trouble with their rallies.

Speaking earlier in Nairobi, Jubilee MPs allied to TNA said they will hold a parallel rally in Uhuru Park on July 7 to counter Cord’s planned Saba Saba Day rally in the Kamukunji Grounds.
