Many probably do not know that Citizen TV reporter Willis Raburu has grown up in ‘royalty’. His father Peter Raburu was a senior guy during President Moi’s regime. At his peak of his career, he was the Provincial Commissioner (PC) Rift Valley. That was quite the ultimate position, with whoever held that seat at one point in Kenya’s history, believed to be more powerful than the Vice President.
Mr. Raburu, now 64 years, is a church leader.
Yesterday on Father’s day, his son, now an influential journalist, took time to celebrate him.
“Happy Fathers day to you dad..for teaching me where and how to walk in this life…my inspiration :-).” he wrote on Instagram.
