candyrecordsMusic, video and film recording stable Candy n Candy records has announced plans to open a new state-of-the-art recording studio in Nairobi.

According to the label’s CEO Joe Kariuki, the new premises will be put up on a six-year leased 6000-square feet plot near the Sameer Business Park along Mombasa Road, which will be its centre of operation. The new facility will also include an office block for the fast-growing music and film making entity.

“I have decided to operate under one roof from Nairobi, as I project this label will become one of the best in Africa. I have invested heavily on equipment and competent staff and in the long run, the best music and film stable in the continent.” He told The Star.

It is further reported that the equipment for the studio was purchased from UK’s Black Island and cost an estimated Sh30 million.

The stable is at the moment working on a Sh14 million action horror movie dubbed What The Hell, to be directed by a German movie director Burkhardt Jurascheck.
