Through a printed statement released to the media by the Chair of National Steering Committee on Media Monitoring, Mary Ombara, the committee recommended to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission(NCIC) to investigate lawyer and conflict resolution expert, David Matsanga for incitement. In addition to that, the committee listed names of seven bloggers in connection with extreme hate speech, incitement and use of obscenities. They include: John Mutuku, Abdul Majid Mohamed, Joseph Mwangi, Wyclife Ojijo, Tonny Lijodo, Esther Wanjala and Simon Mbugua.
This comes amidst the probing on TNA political strategist Moses Kuria over a Facebook post by NCIC, as the committee looks to maintain national cohesion and political stability in the country.
